O Scratch como ferramenta de aprendizagem no ensino de equações polinomiais do segundo grau numa escola indígena potiguara paraibana

This paper presents the results of a research project that analyzed the possible contributions of the Scratch programming language to the teaching and learning processes of second-degree polynomial equations. The investigation was guided by the following research problem: what elements of a teaching proposal, using the Scratch platform, promotes learning of second-degree polynomial equations? The research was carried out with students in the first year of secondary school at an indigenous Potiguara school in Paraíba. Questionnaires were administered before and after the Scratch activities. The results and conclusions indicate that the use of Scratch, together with a cultural approach, can be configured as a significant strategy for teaching polynomial equations of the second degree, promoting understanding, engagement and the development of students' computational thinking. It highlights the importance of integrating inte digital technologies in the educational context and Computational Thinking as a fundamental skill to be developed by students.
