Subjectivity is the Critical Foundational Expression of Feminist Contemporarity

Abstract: This article sets out to interrogate and celebrate the foundational location of Subjectivity as the most quintessential expression of Feminism—as a thinking, living, and active legacy and experience in the reality of an eco-feminist living on the African continent. In using vignettes as emissaries of the encounters and resistances to reactionary ideas and politics, the intention is to provoke a critique of the fraudulent claims to Feminism by cis female nationalist elites who have appropriated Feminism as an opportunistic political garb. It calls for an uncompromising rejection and resistance to Patriarchy in all its forms and guises, and for a retrieval of Dignity and Freedom.
