Significant variability exists in the clinical remission rate among patients with severe asthma treated with biologics, at least in part to heterogeneity in its definition and differences in study populations. Shackleford et al (Lancet Respir Med 2024 Nov 13:S2213-2600(24)00293-5; https://doi.org/10.1016/S2213-2600(24)00293-5) performed the first systematic review and meta-analysis of the topic, finding substantial heterogeneity in the definitions and attainment of clinical remission among the 25 studies that were included.
