STUDY OF QUALITATIVE PARAMETERS OF SEA BUCKTHORN RAW MATERIAL
This paper describes the result of the study of qualitative indicators of sea buckthorn raw material, revealing the content of the pressing process depending on the purpose of the research work.Sea buckthorn is a valuable source of a number of important biologically active compounds. Raising the question of sea buckthorn processing industry is due to the valuable properties of multivitamin crops. In the course of research of the process of obtaining wild sea buckthorn juice, experimental juicing equipment was described. The pressure self-regulation mechanism equipped with a screw press design in the working area, which provides the technical result, is characterized. Through the self-regulating pressure mechanism in the working zone, eliminating the need for manual force, we achieve an increase in the operability of the equipment, intensifying the juicing process. The characterization of the instruments for measuring the actual juice yield, density and ultimate shear stress of sea buckthorn raw material used during the experiment is given.Depending on the speed of juice extraction and pressing time, qualitative indicators of the studied sea buckthorn raw material were determined, graphical relations of the obtained values were deduced and characterized. The data obtained as a result of the study of qualitative indicators of sea buckthorn raw material were taken into account in determining the optimal parameters of the juicer for the food industry.
