Educação Popular Em Saúde Nos Últimos Anos: Uma Revisão Narrativa Da Literatura

This study aims to analyze the advances, challenges and perspectives of Popular Health Education in recent years, through a narrative literature review. The methodology involved searching for scientific articles published between 2020 and 2025 in the PubMed, SciELO, Scopus and ScienceDirect databases, using the descriptors “Popular Health Education”. The results indicate that PHE has made progress in valuing popular knowledge, humanizing care and promoting community participation. However, challenges such as lack of investment, lack of institutionalization and resistance to emancipatory pedagogical approaches still limit its consolidation. The literature highlights the importance of PHE for democratizing access to health, as well as its potential for strengthening the autonomy of individuals and equity in collective health practices. The conclusion is that, despite the progress made, the implementation of PHE still faces structural and political obstacles, requiring greater institutional commitment to ensure its sustainable and expanded implementation.
