Geometric engineering of pinning arrays in superconductor tapes for critical current density enhancement using conformal transformation
In this study, we investigate the influence of pinning forces and conformal mapping parameters on the critical current density of superconductor tapes. By applying dual conformal transformations to triangular pinning arrays, we utilize molecular dynamics techniques to simulate the dynamics of vortices in a type-II superconducting tape in simple triangular arrays of pinning centers and their conformally transformed structures. To this aim, we solve the Langevin equation for the vortices by specifying the forces acting on them. These forces include vortex–vortex interaction force, vortex pinning force, and thermal fluctuation force. Then, the corresponding critical current densities are calculated. The findings indicate that Jc is significantly improved at high magnetic fields in conformal triangular pinning arrays, while at low magnetic fields, the square lattice performs better.
