D-STATCOM Four-Leg Intelligent Control System for Unbalance and Non Linear Load Harmonic Compensator using Fuzzy based on IRPT Control Algorithm

Reactive power compensation traditionally relies on devices like Static VAR Compensators (SVCs) and reactor/capacitor banks. While effective, these systems have significant drawbacks, including large size, high losses, restricted bandwidth, and slow response times. To address these issues, inverter-based power quality conditioners, such as D-STATCOMs, have emerged as modern solutions. D-STATCOMs offer rapid response, compact design, and lower losses, effectively regulating reactive power through a dc bus capacitor, solid-state devices, and ac inductors. Control methodologies typically utilize Fuzzy controllers enhances this control strategy. These controllers take error values of e and e as input and their variations voltage as a input parameters. They also mitigate system unbalances and nonlinear loads, effectively reducing harmonics and the ripples. One of the significant advantages of Fuzzy controllers is their reduced reliance on complex mathematical models, simplifying the design process. This makes them more accessible and practical for implementation. To decide the parameters, this paper using e and ∆e Reff for the input values. Rule base and parameter attached, and Fuzzy can reduce the harmonic and the ripple.
