Mapping the Barrier Factor of Blockchain-Based Halal Traceability System Adoption among Chicken Meat-Based Food Supply Chain Actors

This research investigates the barriers that prevent the adoption of blockchain-based halal traceability systems in the chicken meat-based food supply chain. It also examines the relationship between these barriers. The content validation method was used to validate the proposed barriers identified in the literature review. The research also utilized the interpretative structural modeling (ISM) approach to identify the relationship between the valid barriers. Six experts participated in the validation questionnaire, while six others filled out the ISM questionnaire. The results of the content validation method revealed that out of the 15 identified barriers, ten are relevant and require further analysis. The ISM results highlighted the limited knowledge or ability of the part supply chain actors to operate the systems as the most fundamental barrier. This barrier, located in the root layer of the ISM model, underscores the importance of addressing it for successful adoption of traceability systems.
