AAKA-WCS: Anonymous Authentication and Key Agreement Protocol for Wearable Computing Scenarios

With the development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology, various wearable devices such as smartwatches and fitness trackers have integrated into our daily lives. However, due to their limited computational resources, traditional security mechanisms are not suitable for these wearable devices. Consequently, ensuring efficient and secure authentication and key agreement while protecting user privacy to prevent unauthorized data access and tampering has become a pressing issue. In this paper, we propose an Anonymous Authentication and Key Agreement Protocol for Wearable Computing Scenarios (AAKA-WCS) based on the lightweight authenticated encryption algorithm AEGIS. This protocol is specifically designed to address the challenges of secure and efficient authentication and key agreement among various entities in wearable computing scenarios. Comprehensive security functionality comparisons and performance evaluations with existing protocols demonstrate that AAKA-WCS provides sufficient security features while maintaining low system overhead, making it more suitable for resource-constrained wearable computing environments.
