Performance Analysis of 5 kWp Floating PV at Puspiptek Serpong Lake
Floating PV is a renewable energy developed in Indonesia, as an alternative to reduce the need for large land areas by using the water surface to place PV panels. One of the FPVs operating in Indonesia is located in Lake Puspiptek Serpong. The on-grid system with a capacity of 5.36 kWp, supplies electricity to the Bahrul Ulum Mosque during the day. The purpose of this research is to analyze the performance of the 5kWp floating FPV of Lake Puspiptek Serpong. The analysis was carried out by determining the values of Yr (Yield References), Yf (Yield Factor), PR (Performance Ratio) and CF (Capacity Factor) obtained from the results of real measurements carried out for 4 months compared to the results of the Pvsyst simulation. The results of real measurements obtained Yr, Yf, PR and CF values of 3.692; 2.167; 61.23% and 9.39%, respectively. Lower than the Pvsyst simulation results of 4.899; 3.984; 81.57% and 16.68% respectively. The difference in results is caused by the FPV system having an energy limiter, installed according to national electricity regulations that work to limit the distribution of electrical energy following the amount of load used (zero export). As a result, PV performance is not optimal because the irradiation received by the PV is not all channeled into electrical energy. Based on the PR value obtained, the FPV of Puspiptek Serpong Lake has good performance.
