Optimizing Wall Materials to Reduce Electrical Energy Consumption of Building
The use of wall insulation is a crucial approach to mitigate electricity usage within a building, resulting in financial savings and a direct reduction in the release of atmospheric pollutants. The research goal was to assess the effect of various building wall materials on the cooling load, specifically in relation to air conditioning (AC). The objective of this work was to choose a certain style of wall and examine the impact of the AC load by utilizing different compositions of wall material. The kind of material as follow as: Styrofoam, soil, cement and alkalis. To achieved a high insulation of wall material, particle swarm optimization (PSO) has been applied to find optimal composition of material to create an Innovative Cellular Lightweight Concrete (Inn CLC) brick. A computational model for AC load has been devised to determine the electrical energy usage of a building. Two distinct types of walls have been constructed on the building, each with unique characteristics. A study reveals that the EC of building without and under Inn CLC brick CLC brick were: IDR 28.000 and IDR 17.500, respectively. Consequently, the saving energy consumption (EC) can be achieved to IDR 10,500.
