Preliminary Design of Rapid Response AED Delivery Unmanned Aerial System
The aim of the article is to present the adopted concept for the construction of an unmanned aircraft delivering a defibrillator to save people with sudden cardiac arrest. The concept is based on an unmanned aircraft in a VTOL flying wing system, achieving a cruising speed of at least 160 km/h. Previous scientific work and commercial solutions in this application are mainly based on classic multirotor or VTOL designs but moving at lower speeds. The aim of the work is to build a new structure adapted to the mission of providing a defibrillator for people suffering from cardiac arrest.
