AL-HIYAD AL-IJABI FĪ FITNAT AL-QITAL BAYNA AL-MUSLIMIN FI ḌAWʼ AL-KITAB WA AL-SUNNAH: DIRASAH TAʼSILIYAH [POSITIVE NEUTRALITY IN THE TRIAL OF FIGHTING AMONG MUSLIMS CONSIDERING THE QUR'AN AND SUNNAH: A FUNDAMENTAL STUDY]
As people have drifted away from their religion, their knowledge of its teachings, guidance, and prophetic instructions—particularly concerning dealing with trials, their perpetrators, and their times—has diminished. This has led to confusion between truth and falsehood, causing people to divide into two groups, each believing the truth lies with them. Those who choose neutrality are accused by both sides of being against them. Thus, this study aims to highlight the importance of positive neutrality during times of trials, especially in the era of widespread chaos and disorder, through the texts of the Qur'an and the guidance of the truthful and trustworthy Prophet (peace be upon him). The study follows a qualitative methodology based on inquiry, description, and analysis to achieve the desired results. The study concludes the following: The preservation of human life is a fundamental objective of Islamic Sharia. The importance of this preservation is realized through adopting a stance of positive neutrality during the trials of fighting among Muslims, as mandated by both Islamic law and reason, given the mingling of truth with falsehood. This approach aligns with the stance of most Muslim scholars from Ahl As-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah in the past and present. The sanctity of human life is unanimously upheld, and it is forbidden to violate it. It is obligatory to take all measures and adopt all means to protect it. The foundation for achieving this lies in adopting a stance of positive neutrality during conflicts among Muslims.
