Analysis Of Students' Creative Mathematical Thinking Ability And Adversity Quotient Through A Realistic Mathematical Education Approach
This study examines: (1) the adversity quotient of 7th grade students at Harapan Mandiri Junior High School Medan, (2) their mathematical creative thinking ability after learning based on realistic mathematics education, and (3) their creative thinking difficulties. The research included 35 Medan Harapan Mandiri Junior High School 7th graders. Mathematics creative thinking exams and ARP were used in the study. Miles-Huberman model data analysis. The study found that: (1) The adversity quotient of class VII students of Harapan Mandiri Middle School Medan is dominated by campers, 46%, which means that they want to climb, even though they will stop at a certain point and feel satisfied, feel quite satisfied having reached a certain stage, and still have some initiative, interest, and effort. (2) Students who have an adveristy quotient with the climber criteria have 80% high mathematical creative thinking ability, 50% with the camper to climber transition criteria, and 62% with the camper criteria. (3) Difficulties in mathematical creative thinking experienced by 7th graders at Harapan Mandiri Junior High School Medan, namely: students with high creative thinking skills in each adversity quotient category have no trouble solving the problems, students with moderate creative thinking skills have trouble applying principles, and students
