Prevalence of Periodontitis in a 70‐Year‐Old Population in Western Norway According to the <scp>ACES</scp> 2018 Classification Framework: A Cross‐Sectional Study
There is a high burden of periodontitis in the present population of old individuals, and the majority of participants were classified as Stage III periodontitis. The cut-offs for interdental clinical attachment loss in the definition of periodontitis affect the estimate of cases, stages and extent of periodontitis in older age groups.
