Investigation of the Operational State of Submersible Electric Motors under the Conditions of the Volga Oil-producing Region

The results of investigations aimed at ensuring reliable power supply, improving energy efficiency, and achieving better quality of electric energy in the power supply systems of submersible electrical installations of oil production facilities are analyzed. An operational data base has been formed, on the basis of which hazardous operational physical effects (OPE) of internal and external origin, which reduce significantly the submersible electrical equipment service life, are identified as the subject of research in this work. For the actual fleet of operating production wells, the factors that determine the quality and operating conditions of electric centrifugal pumps (EСP) with submersible electric motors (SEM) of oil production enterprises are defined and analyzed on the basis of mathematical modeling and practical measurements. The presented research results provide new opportunities in the scientific justification of the further development of submersible electrical equipment. In addition, they are focused on their direct use by the operational engineering and technical personnel for adequately assessing the effects of various factors on the equipment serviced.
