Adverse Drug Events and Medication Safety
Medication safety is a key tenet of geriatric pharmacotherapy. As senior care pharmacists, we spend much of our practice effort preventing and managing medication safety concerns. Embracing “Age-Friendly” practice necessitates that we develop a continuous quality improvement mindset that leads to actions that improve patient-centered safety and outcomes. From case studies and quality improvement projects to clinical reviews, teaching tools, and original research, the journal seeks to publish content that supports the work of the senior care pharmacy community. In this edition of The Senior Care Pharmacist, we publish articles that address a common theme of adverse drug events and medication safety for older adults.
