Basarabia – un soi nou de struguri de masă
The paper presents the ampelographic description of the new grapevine variety Basarabia, destinated for the production of table grapes with medium-late time of full maturity of the berries. The bunches are medium-sized, weighing 400–500 g, with troncovoid berries of 4–6 g, with blue-black color of the skin, covered with bloom, with 2-3 seeds. The variety ensures a production of 4–5 kg of grapes per bush and 8–10 t/ha. Growth vigor is medium-high, resistance to wintering conditions and the main cryptogamic diseases – medium. According to preliminary data, the variety can be recommended for cultivation in the Central and Southern vine-growing areas of the republic. Copyright for the variety is protected by the plant variety patent.
