Prevalence of Lifestyle Risk Factors for Cardiovascular Diseases Among Adults in Taif City, Saudi Arabia: An Analytical Cross-Sectional Study
Thus, these findings point to the fact that the population in Taif City is at high risk for CVD attributed to urbanization, a sedentary lifestyle as well as the adjustment to a Westernized diet. These findings may be applied when formulating population-specific prevention interventions to address the epidemic burden of CVDs in this region. The research also strengthens the argument for the need to tackle modifiable risk determinants to reverse the increasing trends of cardiovascular diseases in Saudi Arabia.
