Responsive innovation of Information System on Manufacturing as Enabler: A Case Study
In the fiercely competitive business landscape, organizations strive to optimize operations and deliver value through efficient applications and information systems. However, misaligned or inefficient systems can significantly impact organizational performance. This research explores the integration of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) principles and Responsive Innovation to address customer satisfaction challenges, using a packaging manufacturing company as a case study. The study identifies product development lead time as key customer concerns. In response, a new Information System named PAINDS (Packaging New Design System) is proposed. The combined methodology of LSS and RSM (Recognize Scrutinize Materialize) proves effective in addressing identified issues, providing a valuable framework for businesses to improve their operations, enhance customer satisfaction, and stay adaptable in a dynamic market.
