Carte românească modernă imprimată în Blaj, Brașov și Sibiu între 1831 și 1850 și circulația acesteia în județul Sibiu
This study based upon an archival research involving the book collections of the ASTRA Sibiu County Library, the Archive of the Metropolitanate of Transylvania, the archive of Sibiu County Office for National Cultural Heritage, but also on the perusal of the specialized bibliography, revealed several aspects related to the circulation, in the Orthodox and Greek-Catholic parishes from Sibiu county, of the books printed in Sibiu, Blaj and Brașov between 1831 and 1850. The pre-eminence of the liturgy books printed in Sibiu is indisputable, but the presence of Orthodox prints in Greek-Catholic local parishes, respectively the presence of Greek-Catholic books printed in Blaj in the Orthodox parishes of Sibiu County, during a period of intense religious convulsions between the two Romanian churches from Transylvania, offers a nuanced picture of Romanian economic and religious life.
