Surrealismo, humor e fantástico em Mário Henrique Leiria
The humour in many of Mário-Henrique Leiria's short fictions is triggered by the use of the absurd, by questioning everyday reality and evidence, by the incongruity of meanings and also by the interplay between the possible and the impossible. In his fictions, humour, nonsense, absurdity and even fantastic contribute to the satirical aspect of the writer's texts, revealing the libertarian sense of his writing. Given the well-known anti-fascist ideological stance of Mário-Henrique Leiria, this study aims to reflect on some of the strategies used by the writer to carry out his ideologically marked criticisms. In this sense, the aim of this study is to analyse procedures such as humour, absurdity, nonsense or fantastic and to show how these compositional elements contribute to the satirical configuration of his texts.
