JUSTIFICATION OF DIRECTIONS FOR IMPROVING THE METHODOLOGICAL APPARATUS FOR ASSESSING THE COMBAT EFFECTIVENESS INDICATORS OF OPERATIONAL AND OPERATIONAL-TACTICAL STRIKE UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLES DURING TESTING

The results of the analysis of the current state of the scientific and methodological framework and existing approaches to determining the generalized indicator of combat effectiveness of operational and operational-tactical strike UAVs during testing are presented. Methods of conducting tests applicable to testing strike UAVs of class II and III are considered. An analysis of methods for monitoring and evaluating the characteristics of weapon and military equipment samples, depending on the type of information obtained during testing, is conducted. The features of applying statistical and deterministic methods for evaluating UAV performance indicators are established. A detailed analysis of the features of the most well-known generalized indicators for evaluating weapon and military equipment samples (WME) – the combat potential coefficient and the technical level coefficient of WME samples – is conducted. A comparative analysis of their construction methods and possibilities for further use is presented. It is shown that the UAV combat potential coefficient can reflect the contribution of its application effectiveness to the overall performance of the supersystem, i.e., the armed group to which the tested UAVs will belong. It is convincingly demonstrated that the substantiation of the factor space for constructing a mathematical model of UAV effectiveness in delivering fire damage to enemy ground targets at operational (operational-tactical) depth, as a functional dependence on its tactical and technical characteristics, can be based on the postulates of classical combat effectiveness theory of weapons and military equipment, probability theory, and system analysis. The direction for improving the scientific and methodological framework for assessing the effectiveness of operational (operational-tactical) strike UAVs is substantiated. The feasibility of developing a mathematical model of a generalized UAV performance indicator using methodological approaches from qualimetry theory is demonstrated, which will improve the quality of their testing.
