Separate Problems of the Professional Activities and Procedural Status of a Criminal Investigator

The article examines some of the most typical and significant from a practical point of view aspects and situations that develop with the participation of a forensic investigator in a preliminary investigation, their significance for the formation of his legal status. The features of possible options for the participation of a forensic investigator in a preliminary investigation in terms of their criminal procedural regulation are also considered. A criterion is proposed for distinguishing investigative actions that fall under the competence of a forensic investigator and are beyond its limits. Proposals have been made aimed at overcoming possible conflict situations with his participation.
