Simulation of Laser Active Detection System and Cat's Eye Effect
In modern warfare, all kinds of photoelectric sensors are widely used in optical reconnaissance systems, in which the optical imaging system is the core component of such photoelectric sensors. Laser active detection technology plays an important role in detecting and tracking enemy optical reconnaissance, aiming and guiding weapon systems in modern war photoelectric countermeasures. A large number of studies have shown that the unique "cat's eye" effect of optical imaging system has superior performance in detecting and tracking enemy optical targets in laser active detection systems. In this paper, it is studied to guide the development of laser active detection system and improve the detection performance. Based on TracePro, the optical model of laser active detection system is constructed. The echo intensity power under ideal and non-ideal conditions is analyzed respectively, and the main factors affecting the echo signal power are determined. Simulation software based on MATLAB and "cat's eye" target recognition and detection program based on echo energy diagram are designed. The simulation results and data are analyzed, and the influence of different detection distance, light source divergence Angle, incidence Angle and cat's eye lens on detection effect is obtained. The results show that the simulation results are in agreement with the theoretical calculation, so it can be used to guide the future laser-based active detection and target tracking system to improve its detection sensitivity and tracking accuracy.
