Analysis of secondary distribution networks with photovoltaic systems and electric vehicles
In recent years, the rapid increase of photovoltaic systems (PV) and electric vehicles (EVs) connected to the low voltage distribution grids (LVDG) has called the attention of the scientific community and motivated the study of the impact caused by these technologies on network operating parameters. The objective of this article is to develop an algorithm in Python that allows to estimate the energy losses, the unbalance of currents per phase and to know the voltage profiles in unbalanced LV distribution grids. The study is carried out using a matrix method developed in the consulted bibliography, adding the randomness produced by photovoltaic generation and EVs. The results obtained show that with the insertion of the PV the energy losses decrease while the maximum voltages increase, with the EVs the minimum voltages decrease, increasing the losses and the unbalance, but that the combination of both reduce the negative impact that they cause individually.
