Dual-Input Wireless Power Transfer System Based on Partial Power Modulation

Power can be transmitted from primary side to secondary side without contacting by wireless power transfer system, which has been widely used in the field of electric vehicles with its safety and convenience. In practical application, it is difficult to achieve complete alignment between ground transmitting coil and electric vehicle receiving coil. In order to maintain the stability of the output voltage, the output can be controlled by the phase shift control of primary side, and the output can be adjusted to reach the target value, but the overall efficiency of the system will be affected to some extent. In this paper, a dual-input wireless power transfer system based on partial power modulation is proposed. The main power channel inverter works in the soft switching state and the primary side inverter of the secondary power channel works in the phase shifting state to adjust the load output voltage. The simulation results show that in the load range of <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$30-60 \Omega$</tex>, the efficiency of proposed wireless power transfer system is <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$10 \%-35.5 \%$</tex> higher than that of the traditional single transmitter coil wireless power transfer system.
