Comparison of extracted I-V curve parameters of a PV solar cell under indoor and outdoor conditions
We extracted and compared the current-voltage (I-V) parameters of a photovoltaic (PV) solar cell using the single-diode model under both indoor and outdoor conditions. For indoor measurements, a solar simulator with temperature control was implemented. The I-V measurements were performed indoors and outdoors at different irradiance levels, maintaining the cell temperature near $25^{\circ} \mathrm{C}$. We employed two methods for extracting series resistance: one near the opencircuit voltage and another in the linear region of the I-V curve at higher voltages. Results reveal notable differences in the single-diode parameters extracted indoors and outdoors, influenced by factors beyond irradiance and temperature, such as spectral distribution and diffuse irradiance. These findings underscore the need to account for environmental conditions when correlating indoor and outdoor measurements, particularly in the analysis of series and shunt resistances.
