Prototyping and testing of an innovation management system in a government department in Montevideo

In order to implement an innovation management system in a branch of the government of Montevideo, a prototype of the system was designed and then tested. For the prototype design, the organization was previously studied and research was conducted on innovation in the public sector, innovation in cities, and reference models in innovation management. The prototype testing allowed lessons to be learned for the next phase of development. The proposed innovation process was well accepted and is expected to be well adopted. Opportunities for improvement and synergies with other activities under development in the organization were identified.
