Analysis Report of Sonic Oscillation on the Detection of Hidden Defects in Circuit Breakers

In order to realize the spring condition monitoring of high-voltage circuit breaker in the case of power failure or live power, a spring defect detection technology of circuit breaker based on acoustic field perspective was proposed. Compared to traditional <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$X$</tex> ray methods, this technology allows for deeper detection. Unlike conventional ultrasonic testing, the detection signal is not directly emitted from the ultrasonic transducer, which provides better energy efficiency and improved controllability. This method effectively complements the existing detection methods of circuit breaker mechanical characteristics, and can accurately detect cracks and fatigue defects in the spring, which provides a solid technical guarantee for the safe operation of circuit breakers in substations of power grid companies.
