A Distributed Power Siting and Sizing Method Taking Into Account Highway Energy System Operational Economy and Resilience Improvement

Aiming at the problem of high carbon emissions from highways and the increased probability of highway energy system failures, this paper proposes a distributed power siting and sizing method that takes into account the operational economics and resilience of highway energy systems. First, the operational characteristics of distributed power sources are considered, corresponding output constraints are established for them, and different output scenarios are generated based on the historical data of wind turbines and photovoltaics. The large number of scenarios formed were then reduced by clustering using a modified <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$k$</tex>-means method to derive typical outgoing force scenarios. Finally, taking into account the cost of economic operation of highway energy systems under normal conditions and the cost of load loss under fault conditions, a distributed power siting and sizing method that takes into account both economy and toughness is proposed. This paper focuses on the different operation scenarios of highway energy system, and can obtain the results of wind farm and photovoltaic power plant siting and sizing that maximize the investment return and toughness improvement.
