Patch Antenna Design on Transparent Substrate with Circular Polarisation for CubeSat Communications
The increasing popularity of small satellites, known as CubeSats, has driven the development and adaptation of technologies for these new platforms. This work presents a CubeSat antenna design that can be manufactured using resources available at university. Specifically, the article details the design of a microstrip patch antenna on a transparent polystyrene substrate, with circular polarisation and operating frequency of 5.8 GHz (C-band), paying particular attention to antenna’s integration on-board the CubeSat platform.
