Awareness workshops to promote innovation in the public sector
The Government of Montevideo implemented awareness workshops to promote innovation in collaboration with the Postgraduate Program in Technology and Innovation Management of the University of the Republic. After the initial diagnosis, a group of civil servants was trained to give innovation awareness workshops to other people who also work in the institution. Agile methodologies, problem-based learning, exponential scaled methodology and people-centered public innovation were applied. The experience, which involved more than $\mathbf{1, 5 0 0}$ employees, left the institution with specific practical material and empowered people who strengthen the culture of innovation. There is also a section on lessons learned and recommendations for future initiatives.
