Nostalgia and its Relationship to Life Satisfaction among Hebron University and An-Najah University Students

This study aimed at identifying the relationship between nostalgia and life satisfaction amongst both Hebron University and An-Najah University students. A stratified random sample of (401) male and female students were selected from both universities to respond to the study tools. The researchers applied both the Hebron University Nostalgia Scale (Jondi & Nasser, in press) and the Dasouqi Life Satisfaction Scale on Hebron and An-Najah National Universities after verifying the psychometric characteristics of validity and reliability for both scales. The study revealed that nostalgia levels among both Hebron University students and An-Najah National University were at high levels, where nostalgia for people came first, and nostalgia for things came last. The Levels of life satisfaction were also high, where satisfaction with social appreciation came in the first place, and happiness came in last place. Moreover, the results showed a positive relationship between Nostalgia and all of its dimensions and life satisfaction and all of its dimensions.
