Avaliação de desempenho reprodutivo de receptoras de embrião bovino produzidos in vitro no município de Vilhena - RO

Embryo transfer (ET) is a worldwide biotechnology, with the main objective of producing a high number of genetically superior offspring per female. Using TE, it is possible to reduce the interval between generations and increase the speed of genetic improvement of the herd, in addition to allowing genetically superior animals with acquired reproductive disorders to reproduce. Therefore, the present study aimed to evaluate the reproductive performance of 472 recipients of freshly transferred Nelore and F1 Angus embryos. The analysis took place using spreadsheets made available by a farm that adopts embryo transfer as a tool for multiplying its herd. The animals were evaluated during the period between October 2023 and March 2024. The evaluations took place 30 days after the inovulation of the embryos, the animals were previously contained and with the aid of ultrasound, positive pregnancies were detected. At the end of the study, 302 animals had positive pregnancies, totaling a rate of 63.9%. It is concluded that the reproductive performance of the recipients analyzed was above the expected average, and that environmental factors, such as rational, sanitary and nutritional management, play a significant role in the final index.

It is concluded that the reproductive performance of the recipients analyzed was above the expected average, and that environmental factors, such as rational, sanitary and nutritional management, play a significant role in the final index.
