FEATURES OF POSTTRAUMATIC GROWTH IN WOMEN WITH MALIGNANT NEOPLASMS OF THE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM

Relevance of research is determined by the absence at the moment of a unified and ambiguous concept about the manifestations of post-traumatic growth in patients with malignant neoplasms of the reproductive system in Russian psychology. Most studies of patients in this group are devoted to the study of the relationship between cancer and psychopathology, in particular, post-traumatic stress disorder, adaptation disorders. The empirical study involved 60 women with oncological diseases of the reproductive system (ovarian cancer, cervical cancer), with the mean age 41 years. The empirical study was conducted on the basis of the Ryazan Regional Clinical Oncology Dispensary. The following methods were used: 'Post-traumatic Growth Questionnaire' adapted by M. Sh. Magomed-Eminov, 'Resilience Test' adapted by D. A. Leontiev and E. I. Rasskazova, Questionnaire of Attributive Style STONE-B, the author's questionnaire aimed at collecting demographic and anamnestic data. The obtained data allow us to conclude that women with malignant neoplasms of the reproductive system, demonstrating posttraumatic growth, have higher rates of a sense of control (Uemp=89) and components of the optimistic attributive style of stability (Uemp=136.5), globality (Uemp=194.5) and optimism (Uemp=116) compared to women with malignant neoplasms of the reproductive system without posttraumatic growth. Interrelations between the components of posttraumatic growth, attributive style and the level of vitality were revealed.
