INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOLOGICAL FEATURES OF ADHERENCE TO TREATMENT IN PATIENTS WITH COMPENSATED AND DECOMPENSATED FORMS OF CHRONIC TONSILLITIS

The article discusses the quality of life, attitude towards the disease, adherence to treatment in patients with chronic compensated and decompensated tonsillitis. As a strategy to combat the disease, patients with chronic compensated tonsillitis often choose denial of the disease, which manifests itself in partial or complete ignoring the symptoms of the disease. At the same time, denial of the disease is formed against the background active social interaction of the patient. Patients with chronic decompensated tonsillitis have an attitude of escaping the disease into work. Such patients strive to continue their usual active work activities, despite the manifestations of the disease, and ignore the symptoms. Escaping the disease into work leads to the formation of low adherence to treatment, which is selective in nature, aimed at relieving the symptoms that most 'interfere' with active work. Due to their high involvement in the work process, patients with chronic decompensated tonsillitis perceive themselves as prosperous, socially active people.
