26GHz Quadrature LO Generator Using Poly-Phase Filter in 22nm FDSOI CMOS
This paper presents the analysis and design of a 26 GHz quadrature signal generator using a two-stage RC poly-phase filter (PPF) for fifth-generation wireless communication systems. A symmetric layout structure of the PPF is adopted to minimize the mismatches between quadrature signals, and an amplifier is used to alleviate the inherent loss of the passive structures. The proposed generator realized in 22nm FDSOI CMOS provides more than 31.4dB of measured image rejection, covering a bandwidth of 23GHz to 29GHz with a maximum insertion loss of 8 dB around the center frequency.
