Optimizing Service Selection in Flying Ad Hoc Networks at the Mobile Edge Computing Level
Flying Ad Hoc Networks (FANETs) are increasingly used in applications such as disaster management, environmental monitoring, and military operations. The dynamic nature of these networks, characterized by high mobility and topology changes, makes service selection a significant challenge. To address this, we propose a Fuzzy Logic Decision System (FL-DS) hosted at the Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) level. MEC plays a crucial role by bringing computational resources closer to the network, reducing latency and improving resource management. The FL-DS optimizes service selection in real-time, compared with the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method, enhancing network performance and reliability.
