Harmonic Mitigation of a Hybrid (photovoltaic-Wind) Energy System
This paper focuses on optimizing hybrid renewable energy systems’ (HRES) dynamic performance and power quality, In order to improve output quality and performance. Combining photovoltaic and wind energy with non-linear loads results in hybrid methods for renewable energy, which can lead to power quality issues such voltage sag, total distortion of harmonics (THD), and reduced the PF. The improvement of the (THD) will be the main topic of this study. The PCC-bus, which is the common bus where wind and solar energy are connected, uses a passive LCL filter to lower the (THD).
