Design of ECoG Analog Front End for Temporal Interference Stimulation Experiment
This paper presents an analog front-end (AFE) circuit for animal experiments focused on temporal interference stimulation research. The AFE is designed for integration into a wireless system-on-chip (SoC) to facilitate the continuous recording of electrocorticography (ECoG) signals and the transmission of digitized data to an external receiver. The AFE includes two ECoG pre-amplifiers, a 10-bit successive-approximate-register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC), and a pseudo right-leg driven (PRLD) circuit. Key features of the AFE include variable gain and bandwidth to accommodate different experimental requirements, a PRLD circuit to reduce common-mode interference, and a self-calibrating high-pass corner calibration circuit to address variations in the pseudo-resistor used in the design.
