Numerical Analysis Of Sr3SbI3 Pb-Free Perovskite For Indoor Applications And Under Standard Illumination
Halide perovskite materials hold immense potential in solar cells. As a solar absorber, halide perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are affordable, cost-effective, have tunable bandgap, and have superior optoelectronic properties. In this study, a hole transport layer (HTL)-free PSC is proposed to avoid HTL performance degradation. The lead-free perovskite, Sr3SbI3, is used as an absorber to avoid lead toxicity. Zinc selenide (ZnSe) is used as an electron transport layer (ETL). SCAPS-1D (solar cell capacitance simulator-one dimension) is used to perform simulations and power conversion efficiency (PCE) calculations. Various parameters are studied and optimized. Firstly, the doping of the absorber and the ETL are optimized, respectively. After that, various back contacts are tested to optimize the back contact work function. Finally, the thickness of the absorber layer is optimized. Through these optimizations, the PCEs are 38.67% and 43.55% under airmass 1.5 global (AM1.5G), and under white light emitting diode (LED) illumination, respectively.
