Advanced Voltage Control Techniques for Three-Phase Inverter with RLC Filter: Comparative Study of MPC and HB-PWM Methods
The study investigates the efficacy of Model Predictive Control (MPC) and its integration with Hysteresis Band Pulse Width Modulation (HB-PWM) for voltage regulation in a Three-Phase Inverter with an Output RLC Filter. A novel voltage prediction scheme is proposed within the MPC framework to foresee forthcoming load voltage dynamics. The control behaviors of HB-PWM and Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) techniques are analyzed in conjunction with the designed load model. Performance evaluation of MPC, HB-PWM, and PWM is conducted, focusing on enhancing current and voltage stability, minimizing Total Harmonic Distortion (THD), and optimizing frequency spectrum characteristics. The study employs MATLAB/SIMULINK for the implementation and simulation of all control methodologies.
