Design and Development of an Interactive 3D Educational Game for Teaching Fundamental Concepts in Computer Networks
This research paper documents creation of an educational 3D game designed to teach elementary concepts in computer networks. Presented work analyzes the role of games in education, as well as effectiveness of different types of educational games used in universities both in Slovakia and abroad. The analysis includes a review of past research of how an educational game can affect the learning process. Later on, the article focuses on the design and development of a specific 3D game aimed to enhance the understanding of computer networks. The game is developed as a functional educational tool intended to support the curriculum for students studying computer networks. The final game not only demonstrates the potential of interactive learning in technical education but also provides a practical resource for lectors seeking to incorporate innovative teaching aids into their classrooms.
