Approaches and Strategies for Identifying Bioacoustic Signals from Wildlife in IoT Forest Environments
In this paper we review methods and techniques for analyzing and processing animal bioacoustic signals. As technological advancements enhance our understanding of animal communication, various methodologies have been developed to decode and interpret these bioacoustic signals. The review explores options for data collection, such as specialized microphones and sensors, and delves into processing techniques, including time-frequency analysis, spectrogram generation, and machine-learning algorithms for classification. The significance of these approaches in understanding animal behavior, ecological dynamics, and conservation efforts is emphasized.
