Geometric Optimization of a Trapezoidal microchannel Heat Sink Using the Grey Wolf Algorithm

Advanced cooling techniques are needed to manage high heat flow generated by minimizing electronic components in integrated circuits. To enhance the microchannel’s geometry and increase heat transfer efficiency, the optimization algorithm inspired by the gray wolf is suggested in this work. Three nondimensional design factors determine the trapezoidal microchannel heat sink, and this study evaluates thermal resistance and dissipation power as indicators of the heat sink. The research describes how to use the Non-Dominated Sorting Grey Wolf Optimizer (NSGWO) to formulate a two-objective numerical model in a multi-objective optimization. The proposed method offered a variety of optimal solutions striking a balance to determine the best geometric configuration and demonstrating a good alignment with existing optimization approaches.
