A Comparative Study of Manual vs. Model-Driven Configuration: Evaluating Efficiency and Scalability in Juniper Networks
Most students of computer networks are likely familiar with the configuration of Cisco devices. However, Cisco is not the only manufacturer of devices upon which any network infrastructure is built. Because of that, this thesis focuses on the configuration of Juniper devices, with an emphasis on multiple configuration options, both manual and model-driven. The primary objective of this research paper is to document the creation of study materials, that can be provided to students with the intention of broadening their knowledge in the field of computer networks. The materials were deployed in the form of a webpage and were evaluated by students in the computer networks course, using a questionnaire. The statistic, gatheredfrom the questionnaire clearly showed the benefit of the materials for the educational process.
