"Comparative study of DNA Quantification of four selected species of Ocimum"

Ocimum commonly known as Tulsi belongs to family Lamiaceac. Tulsi is important source of herbal medicine. In this article we have compared the DNA quantity among four species of Ocimum namely O. Sanctum. O. tenuifolium, O. basilicum & O. gratissmum after extractions of DNA from each species separately by CTAB-method. It was observed that O.sanctum & O.basilicum have 165ng/ml DNA & O. tenuifolium  & O.gratissmum have same value i.e, 166 ng/ml of DNA by using the formula, DNA concentration (mg/ml) =
