A Proposed Model for Maximizing Cloud Computing Service Availability Performance
In light of the pivotal role of cloud computing in the contemporary era and its widespread adoption across various institutions and organizations, this research paper introduces a mathematical model aimed at enhancing the design of cloud computing systems. This model seeks to ensure high efficiency, reliable performance, and sustainable operation, thereby guaranteeing uninterrupted service delivery. The proposed model delves into the significance of server locations that provide cloud-based services. It achieves this by translating the cloud-computing infrastructure into mathematical equations through the application of graph theory, where nodes represent servers and lines symbolize communication channels. The model prioritizes each server's importance within the targeted cloud computing system based on its geographical location. It systematically prioritizes servers, placing the utmost importance on those crucial for system integrity, followed by less important ones. This prioritization is critical for focusing maintenance efforts and ensuring continuous operation, which collectively enhances the overall system efficiency during the processing of service requests and tasks from various entities. The model has been applied to a complex cloud computing system, and the derived numerical results substantiate the proposed model's efficacy and confirm the theoretical importance of server locations. The Python programming language has been utilized to implement the model and to perform result extraction.
