Record high CH4/N2 adsorption separation selectivity in a scalable metal-organic framework
We report a Hoffmann-type metal-organic framework (MOF) with regulated pore size realized through reticular chemistry strategy that achieves a record CH 4 /N 2 (50:50) IAST selectivity, which is key for CH 4 purification from low-grade coal-bed methane. The synthesis process is readily scalable to the hundred-gram level with commercial precursors and environmentally friendly solvents under room temperature, thereby establishing it as a leading candidate for practical applications.
